Grace Elisabeth Shearrer

Dr. Shearrer earned her PhD in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin after completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Wyoming. Dr. Shearrer specializes in maternal and child nutrition behavior. Grace is from Denver, CO but now lives happily in Laramie, WY with her husband and their 3 cats. Grace loves playing soccer, making green chile, and hanging out with her 2 brothers.

Zachary Renz

Zachary is aspiring to be a data scientist. He is receiving his associates in math and computer science from Central Wyoming College this fall and is pursuing a bachelor's in computer science and a minor in math in the University of Wyoming. Zach loves to learn and has his hands in my disciplines. He is currently planning to publish an illustrated children's book this year, take up gardening, and learn Spanish.

Michael Lance

As a student at Central Wyoming College under Matt Herr and Charles Palmer, Michael worked primarily on the the circuit-python firmware with a specific focus on the asyncronous communications library. Michael is pursuing an AAS in computer technology with a tangential exploration into software development. Michael plans to pursue a BAS in software development from the University of Wyoming School of Computing.

Charles Palmer

As a faculty instructor at Central Wyoming College, he has provided student guidance and training across the various disciplines necessary to complete the project. With his support, students have learned project management concepts, software development, 3D modeling/printing, and basic digital electronics.

Matt Herr

Matt brings technical leadership, vision, and management skills to this project - inspiring students to become more confident in what might be possible. His involvement brings real world project management experience as an Oracle DBA and IT professional along with a zest to support relevant, real world, challenging opportunities for his students.

Marshal Franzen

I worked primarily on the website and the documentation for the project. I wrote the website in Visual Studio code using html. I wrote the documentation in google drive. The documentation goes into detail on how to setup and make the Candy Machine work. All this information is avaliable with the links in the engineering Tab.

As a Central Wyoming College student he has helped to create setup and assembly manuals for the project as well as helping with the 3D design for an enhancement of the original unit.

I brought my experience as a creative artist to this project and designed an alternative concept for the candy dispenser machine. I, also contributed to electronics components selection.

Thomas Baker

While a student at Central Wyoming College, Thomas assisted on the circuit-python firmware, and focused primarily on the implementation of the new library and firmware into existing code.

Tracy Goheen

As a student at Central Wyoming College and an IT professional, she has brought years of practical knowledge and perspective to the project. Her main focus was designing, printing and troubleshooting the physical component of the research project, with auxiliary focuses on maintenance and assembly of the physical components.
